Glendronach produces a range of whiskies, including the core range of 12, 15, and 18-year-old expressions, limited edition releases, and special bottlings. The distillery is owned by Brown-Forman, which acquired it in 2016.

They are also known for their limited edition releases, which are highly sought after by whisky enthusiasts worldwide. Overall, GlenDronach is considered to be a top-quality whisky brand with a strong reputation in the industry.

The distillery is located in the valley of Forgue, near the town of Huntly in Aberdeenshire. The name GlenDronach comes from the Gaelic language and means “valley of the brambles” or “valley of the blackberries,” which refers to the surrounding landscape.

The distillery has changed hands several times but has always maintained its reputation for producing high-quality single-malt Scotch whisky. GlenDronach is known for its rich, fruity, and sherried whiskies, aged in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.

Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 12 is a high-strength single malt Scotch whisky produced by The Glendronach Distillery in Scotland’s Speyside area. As the name suggests, the whisky is bottled straight from the cask at its natural strength, without dilution or chill filtration.

Batch 12 was released in 2019 and aged in a combination of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. It is famous for its rich, full-bodied flavor profile with dark fruit, chocolate, and spice notes. The alcohol content of this whisky varies by batch, but it typically falls between 56% and 60% ABV.

The latest addition to the Cask Strength series by The Glendronach Distillery has been announced as Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 12. This whiskey has been matured in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks sourced from Andalucía. It is said to possess a scent of luxurious mocha, creamy cappuccino, orange, and fruit cake filled with raisins, cherry liqueur, and sandalwood.

The palate offers notes of velvety spice, dark chocolate tiramisu, Seville orange peel, toasted almond, and crystallized ginger, culminating in an extended finish of amaretto-laced mocha, morello cherry, sultana, and indulgent caramelized crème brûlée. Bottled naturally at 58.2% ABV, Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 12 will be obtainable at retailers worldwide from this month onwards and is suggested to retail at £75.00.

Today, GlenDronach is owned by Brown-Forman Corporation, which also owns other well-known whisky brands such as Jack Daniel’s and Woodford Reserve.
