The Dalmore, a renowned luxury whisky brand, has unveiled its latest release in the Cask Curation Series – Port Edition, a limited-edition trio of single malt whiskies. Priced at £35,000, this collection showcases The Dalmore’s commitment to excellence in whisky making. The series is notable for its exclusive partnership with Symington Family Estates, using rare port casks from Graham’s Port to enhance the whisky’s flavor profile.

This release is the second chapter in The Dalmore’s Cask Curation Series, which emphasizes the importance of carefully selecting casks from prestigious winemakers around the world. According to The Dalmore, a cask’s history plays a crucial role in shaping the whisky’s distinctive characteristics. The distillery’s philosophy of curating “exquisite casks” reflects their dedication to creating extraordinary expressions.

While The Dalmore has previously introduced port-finished whiskies, this particular edition stands out due to the rare access to Graham’s Port casks. The whisky makers were able to hand-pick aged port pipes from Vila Nova de Gaia, home to Graham’s Port. This collaboration results in a unique blend of flavors, combining rich fruit notes with subtle hints of dark chocolate, a testament to the complexity of Graham’s Port casks.

The collection includes three extraordinary whiskies:

  • The Dalmore Cask Curation Port Edition 43 Year Old, finished in Graham’s 1952 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.
  • The Dalmore Cask Curation Port Edition 30 Year Old, finished in Graham’s 1994 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.
  • The Dalmore Cask Curation Port Edition 27 Year Old, finished in Graham’s 1997 Single Harvest Tawny Port casks.

Only 150 sets of this collection have been made available, presented in a luxurious green leather travel case, underscoring the exclusivity of this release.

The Dalmore debuted the Cask Curation Series in December 2023 with the Sherry Edition, created in collaboration with González Byass. The series will continue with two more releases slated for 2025 and 2026, further cementing The Dalmore’s reputation in the luxury whisky world.

In preparation for future innovations, The Dalmore has also invested £40 million to double its production capacity, ensuring the preservation of its traditional distillation process at its Highland distillery.
