India’s renowned Radico Khaitan has unveiled its latest single malt creation, Rampur Barrel Blush. Initially launched in the UK, this unique whisky will soon make its way across Europe and the US. Priced at £65 (US$85) and bottled at 45% ABV, this new expression continues Rampur Distillery’s legacy of crafting innovative and complex whiskies.
A Unique Cask Finish
Rampur Barrel Blush stands out for its maturation process. It begins its journey in American Bourbon barrels, where it absorbs the classic notes of vanilla, oak, and soft spices. The whisky is then finished in Australian Shiraz wine casks, adding layers of ripe berries, dark fruits, and a subtle tannic touch. This combination creates a balanced yet bold expression that highlights Rampur’s craftsmanship.

Earlier this year, Rampur Distillery also ventured into the rum category, launching The Kohinoor Reserve Indian Dark Rum.
